Basic Requirements

Applicant must obtain confirmation from the authority in the country of origin.

Applicant must be covered by medical insurance for the duration of the SABAH-MM2H pass in Sabah.

Applicant must show proof of medical check-up after obtaining conditional pass.

Applicant is required to pay a security bond to the Immigration Department.

A sponsor must be a local Sabahan residing in Sabah.

Conditions for SABAH-MM2H Holders

  • Only applicable in Sabah.
  • Not allowed to work in Malaysia.
  • Duration of SABAH-MM2H is 10 years, i.e. visa to be issued for first 5 years while remaining 5 years to be issued after security and minimum stay check at the end of the first 5 years.
  • Application of extension, change of principal or change of nationality must undergo security and minimum stay check subject to the Immigration Act.
  • Business Investors are allowed.
  • Disposal of Property: Property can only be sold after five (5) years from the date of purchase with the condition that another property must be purchased with minimum RM600,000 of purchase price.

KOTA KINABALU

Kota Kinabalu is a city situated strategically on the West Coast of the Malaysian state of Sabah. Abbreviated locally as ‘KK’, the city is the seventh largest in Malaysia, hosting a population over 450 million people that compose a diverse variety of ethnic groups including native tribes of coastal and highland origin.

Surrounded by lovely beaches, tropical islands, and picturesque landscapes, KK is a charming modern city offering international-standard hotels and resorts. KK is also the gateway to one of Southeast Asia’s tallest mountains, Mount Kinabalu. It serves as the gateway to the rest of Sabah.

SANDAKAN

Sandakan began to prosper in 1879, British built a new settlement and developed Sandakan into a commercial and trading center, making it the main administrative center for North Borneo.

British encouraged the migration of Chinese and British Hong Kong to develop the economy of Sandakan. It was nicknamed Little Hong Kong due to the strong presence of ethnic Chinese migration from Hong Kong (mainly Cantonese and Hakka).

Sandakan is also well-known for ecotourism (Orangutan Sepilok rehabilitation station, Turtle Islands Park, Gomantong Caves which famous for bird’s nest).
